The Trustees of East London District have a dual role: also serving as the trustees of The Roland Philipps Fund for Scouts – executing the will of their first Commissioner who died at the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
The Roland Philipps Scout Centre (in Stepney, E1) is part of the RPFFS, although it effectively operates as the District Headquarters for East London, as well as being equipped with Climbing / Bouldering Walls, and a Rifle / Archery range.
